We’re sorry to report that, due to the BC Health Officer’s extension of travel restrictions and health orders, Family Day Basecamp weekend has been cancelled.
Please keep praying for BC Camps.
We know you are looking forward to getting out, and we’re looking forward to hosting you one day soon.
Stay at RockRidge Canyon and ski, snowboard or x-country ski locally. Use RockRidge Canyon as your wintry weekend basecamp as you shake off your cabin fever and head out to Manning Park, Apex Mountain or China Ridge Trails. *
These recreation areas are seeing high seasonal demand as British Columbians look to safely exercise outdoors. However, accommodation availability has been reduced with the reduction of access to private AirBnB and vacation rentals. Much of winter recreation destination accommodation near Manning Park and Apex Mountain ski areas is already sold out for this ski season.
So… We’re reopening Family Day long weekend to welcome guests on a limited basis, as travel advisories in your region allow. We have a passion for hospitality and look forward to hosting you!
Treat your family to a very special winter food and accommodation package.
Your family will enjoy wonderful meals, cozy accommodation and all the beautiful scenery RockRidge Canyon has to offer.
Here’s the Plan – Quick Details
We are looking to continue to bless families in British Columbia with this amazing property. Come experience it for yourself.
Reserve your weekend accommodation here.

To reduce waste, please let us know if you or family members will be off site for any meals. (No discount for missed meals).
While this weekend is designed for your family to play off-site at local ski areas we’re offering more than a room.

Is this a shorter version of Young Life New Years Camp?
No. To meet provincial guidelines this is very much a self directed weekend for families, with the focus on providing meals and accommodation, while guests spend their day skiing nearby. If you want to just relax and enjoy the scenery, that’s cool too.
Will there be an evening program?
No program per se. Consider this weekend like like visiting a cabin, but with all the meals and dishes taken care of. The days and evenings are yours, to plan and relax together with your family.
Note: Some recreation areas require pre-purchase of tickets well in advance. Check their websites for availability.

Dress warmly
Winter here in the canyon can be a mixed bag, often with lots of clear, cold days. But we do see ice, fog and snow. Warm boots, coats, mitts and toques are recommended.
CELL Rockridge Canyon is set in a mountain valley so cell phone coverage can be spotty around the property. Ask your service provider if you qualify for Wi-Fi Calling (text and phone calls).
For your convenience there are courtesy phones on site, which are free for long distance calls in North America. During your stay, anyone wishing to leave a message for you can call the RockRidge property office at 1 (250) 870-9030 and the message will be delivered at the earliest convenience.

No, people of any/no faith are welcome to attend and will have an incredible weekend and warmly welcomed. In fact many student summer campers each year would not consider themselves religious but come and have a great time. Heads up – prior to most meals ‘grace’ is said.
